Our Sheep & Cattle
The 400 ha farm is managed holistically for sustainability. We graze sheep and cattle for meat production.
Prior to becoming organic we only grazed cattle but realized the dual purpose of sheep with strategic grazing and weed control in our organic areas. We chose the Dorper breed of sheep as they shed their wool so no need for chemical control of lice and flystrike. They spend the winters in the organic vineyard cleaning up weeds and fertilizing.
